I tried uploading a cartoon coffee pic. But picasa ate it. Anyway, sorry about the lack of pictures lately. Been busy, been trying to be busy. Time for a good ol' post.
Cutting to the chase, I'm dating again. Regardless of all the pre-thought about obstacles and things that are just in the way, trying to prevent you from being happy, I realized one very important thing in the course of the past weeks. Life is too short to allow what other people think govern your decisions. At the end of the day, you have to prove to no one other than yourself that what you did was right, what you did not do was not to be regretted.
Am I afraid? Yes. Hell, yes. I have never been so afraid for a long, long time. But with every step I take, it gives me greater satisfaction than gaining an advantageous position in a predictable situation. I get worried. What if some day we realize that this doesn't work out? What if I'm still not capable of loving someone? What if I fuck up in the morning and that's it? But Indians, they are wise. They say "only time will tell."
So this is to a good year, 2011. And to a (hopefully) better one, 2012. A very belated merry christmas from me and Happy New Year folks!
