The air I breathe

It's not that hard to be happy, although every time you say something, someone shoots it down.
It's not that hard to be happy, although everything you do seems fruitless.
It's not that hard to be happy, although it seems as though everyone out there just wants to take advantage of you.
It's really not that hard to be happy, even though everything seems to be going the wrong way, even though you feel as though you have no control whatsoever in salvaging whatever that's left of yourself after a disaster.
It's not that hard to be happy. Just keep smiling, get some fresh air, and think happy thoughts.



It's amazing how we only see light in darkness, and how we only see joy in sadness.
